My Story
Renata Jarosz, DO MS,
Neuromuscular Medicine
I pursued research in molecular pharmacology post undergraduate studies in chemistry and biology. During my laboratory time, I engaged in competitive Latin International Ballroom Dance. A prolonged foot injury in conjunction with a science background led to the pursuit of medicine. Osteopathic Medicine was an attractive choice due to its “whole-person” philosophy and the tenet of structure and function being dependently related. My medical profession began with matriculation in Osteopathic Medical School along with a Fellowship in Osteopathic Manual Medicine and Masters in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Passion for performing arts, musculoskeletal anatomy, and the manual medicine knowledge drove my interest in the field of PM&R and subsequently sports and musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine. Throughout my residency, my exposure to athlete and multifaceted musculoskeletal pathology while at Stanford solidified my interest in Physical Medicine.

This paved a way to a Fellowship under Marko Bodor, MD with the focus on Sports, Interventional Spine, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (US), Electrodiagnostics and Regenerative Medicine.

Post Fellowship, I immersed myself in caring for garden-variety MSK complaints and served as a Medical Director of Musculoskeletal Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, San Mateo Medical Center. However, I noticed, something was missing. I realized that my patients’ healing desires required a more individual, deeper relationship. It is my long-term goal to devote time to ensuring neuromusculoskeletal health and well-being of all, and at all levels.

My profession path allows to marry the two, my osteopathic and interventional physical medicine training, relying on a whole person healing methodology and hard skill interventional approach to restoring function, reducing pain and reviving health.

At this point, I am excited to welcome you at my own private practice and ready to provide service with dedication to your health and healing.
